Energy Modeling + Optimization
Energy efficiency and comfort are best optimized early in the design process. Whether you simply need an energy model created or you want to dive deeper and optimize the design for cost and efficiency, we can help out. Clients of this service include builders, HERS Raters, and homeowners building a new house.
Residential HVAC Design
Do you need HVAC load calculations for a new system, to support a permit application, or for a green building program? Let enerBLD complete a Manual J, S and D for you. Our clients are primarily HVAC contractors, and we support builders and homeowners as well.
Quality Assurance
In the US, the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) is governed by RESNET. RESNET has implemented a multi-tier review process that requires that a percentage of homes are reviewed in the field and/or on paper throughout the year. enerBLD staff has over 15 years of experience with this process, providing thorough reviews and mentoring.
File Quality Assurance
We can provide the energy model and file review for Raters using Ekotrope software.
Field Quality Assurance
Field QA is provided remotely to reduce travel costs. Raters will need to engage someone local for the required in-person field QA.
Mentoring
While the quality assurance process helps ensure consistency across the marketplace, it also provides an invaluable opportunity to learn and grow as a Rater.
